I've just gotten back from beautiful Cornwall, and now I'm off again to Eastern Europe for a few weeks for some exploring and sketching and other wonders no doubt. Upon my return I will be sharing new things that i have been working on including new projects and my ceramics! Ta-ta

An illustration for Zizzi Fresh Talent
Been super influenced by Klaas Gubbels - here's a crazy jug and some pipes by him

Soon I'll be starting work on my illustrated ceramics collection, ready to begin making in September! In the meantime I'm working on a book and a couple of other smaller projects.

pots at Mortimer Wheeler House
I made a visit to the Museum of London ceramics and glass collection, kept at Mortimer Wheeler House, which was very special. Here are some of my favourite designs I roughly drew
(sorry for the crumpled sketchbook)
It was also really nice to see a lot of ceramics from my hometown of Kingston which were excavated from various medieval kiln sites, they were very simplistic and used lots of natural shapes, loved them! i think my sketches have started leaning more in that direction too. The styles I like best are the uncomplicated bowls, dishes and pots, which might have a more complex glaze or surface design, but a really bold, basic shape.
anyway this is probably it for my pot studies, time to start making soon !
